And there was snow.
Monday morning, I woke up early (8 AM) and went out into the freezing rain to go get a haircut. I was already on the metro when Nazar called me to say that my appointment was cancelled, and that I had to turn around. I was almost home when the rain turned to ice. I clearly remember thinking to myself “I guess I’ll go inside and blog about the fact that we have tiny pieces of ice falling from the sky, but we still have no snow.”
I did not immediately start blogging, however, but instead started to read a book. About an hour later, Julia called me on the phone. She said, “Did you see what is happening outside??” I said, “Yes, I was outside an hour ago and saw that there was ice falling.” She said, “Go look again”.
The ground was completely white. Every roof, every tree, was completely white. Snow was falling, and falling hard. And it was AWESOME! We had not had even a hint of snow before Monday, and then it fell for about 12 hours straight. We are officially in winter now.
I’m in a picture-sharing mood now, so I’ve got a lot more to show you.
My puzzle progress, with pictures taken after every other Pomodoro:
Just imagine to yourself, if this guy walked up to you on the street and said “Are you that guy?”, what would you say? I said “Yes”.
English Club with Kids.
The younger ones don’t really study English with us, they just watch Veggietales and pose for pictures! 🙂
I’ve got more pictures from Byron’s class, but I think I’ll save those for a post of their own!
I’m going to go make another snowman now.
